On 11.12.2020, the non-profit association for the implementation of community service activities for persons with intellectual disabilities “CHANCE” concluded a contract for the provision of non-reimbursed financial assistance under the MIG-Razlog’s VOMR Strategy, financed under sub-measure 19.2. from the Rural Development Program for the period 2014-2020, co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. The tripartite administrative contract was signed by the executive director of the Agriculture Fund and by the Chairman of the Management Board of the MIG-Razlog Association.
The grant is provided for the implementation of an approved project “Improving the system of social services of the “CHANCE” Association under procedure BG06RDNP001-19.268-S2 under measure 7.2 “Investments in the creation, improvement or expansion of all types of small-scale infrastructure” from the Strategy of “MIG-Razlog”.
On the territory of the municipality of Razlog, the SNC “CHANCE” is the only provider of social services for persons with intellectual disabilities and physical disabilities, who have been identified by the MIG-Razlog as one of the vulnerable social groups in the territory.
The project proposal with which the “Chance” Association applied for funding to the MIG-Razlog is for the delivery and installation of an automatic stairlift for wheelchairs in the building of the Day Center for People with Intellectual Disabilities and/or Multiple Disabilities “Blyan” Razlog , which will provide accessibility for users with physical problems to the physical therapy room, which is located on the second floor. Children in wheelchairs will also have access to the second floor classroom. The project will also purchase specialized equipment for the “Sensory Room” – a dry pool with balls and a ladder, an ultraviolet panel and water towers with bubbles, which will allow quality rehabilitation of the center’s needy users. For the safety of the building, the installation of an automatic fire alarm system is planned, as well as the purchase of non-combustible walkways.
The implementation of the project will increase the quality of social services on the territory of MIG-Razlog and will have a positive impact on the lives of families of persons with multiple disabilities by providing appropriate care for their children.
The amount of expenses approved for financing is BGN 48,890.25, and the amount of the grant for a public benefit project is 100%.
